Columbia Association (CA) is seeking bids from interested, qualified and responsible firms to furnish all labor, supervision, equipment and materials, and the performance of all work necessary to construct the Columbia Lakeside Bandshell and to concurrently replace existing railing in the Town Center lakefront plaza.

The Columbia Lakeside Bandshell will be located in Columbia Town Center at Lake Kittamaqundi in Downtown Columbia, and will be a permanent, open-air covered bandshell stage pavilion for performances and concerts. The Bandshell stage shall be slightly raised above the sidewalk with an open front and three sides with a guardrail. There will be one ramp that will allow access from the sidewalk to the stage and stairs at the front of the stage.

Generally, the Bandshell scope of work includes site demo, landscaping, acoustic wood ceiling, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, concrete work, auger cast piles, slab and stairs, painting, electrical, stage lighting, metal roofing, signage and an outdoor mechanically retractable movie projection screen as specified in Section 3, Specifications of this IFB and permit drawings by Ayers Saint Gross titled Columbia Lakeside Bandshell; bandshell specifications by Ayers Saint Gross titled Columbia Lakeside Bandshell Construction Documents; Redline to Site Development Plan No. SDP-08-108 by Gutschick, Little & Weber; and the Geotechnical Report by Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associated; and the Town Center Railing Replacement scope of work includes site demo, disposal and replacement of existing metal handrails and railings as specified in Town Center Railing Replacement Phase 2.

An on-site pre-bid meeting will be held on July 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Town Center Lakefront Pavilion, located behind 10221 Wincopin Circle, Columbia, MD 21044. Bidders will be allowed to ask questions at this time. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is strongly encouraged but not mandatory.

Bids are due at or before 2:00 PM on July 24, 2025. Late bids will not be considered for an award. Bids must be submitted viaΒ email toΒ Procurement@ColumbiaAssociation.org.
